This is the vision of Family Voices

Our Visions for the Future

The following quotes represent the dreams and hopes of Family Voices Network Members for children and youth with special health care needs and were recorded at the 2005 Family Voices Conference, "The Heart of the Matter: A Call to Action."
  • Full implementation of the 2010 goals for family centered care.
  • I hope all children will today and always belong to a loving family and community.
  • That I can continue to be associated & work with the BEST people in the world toward our common goals.
  • Full implementation of the 2010 goals for family centered care.
  • I hope all children will today and always belong to a loving family and community.
  • Children receive the care they need and parents are at peace.
  • Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs are able to reach their fullest potential to participate in and contribute to their communities.
  • May you always be treated with respect and dignity. May you participate in life fully and with great joy.
  • Good health, complete and comprehensive employment, deep love, full participation and justice for all.
  • Every child successfully transition from pediatric to adult health care.
  • I wish our children health, peace, happiness, strength and power to change the world.
  • ALL children have the rights that don’t need to be described by law, because society treats everyone with respect and dignity.
  • May children dream their own dreams and be surrounded and blessed by all they need to fulfill them!
  • All children and youth with special health care needs will have access to the quality health care they need to live their lives to their fullest potential in their communities.
  • Healthcare for all Americans (and all human beings) as a basic right, not a privilege.
  • Every child, including and especially those with special needs, be loved, valued and respected for who they are – not for what others would want them to be!
  • …For all children to have the services they need in their communities surrounded by those who love them and those they love.
  • Imagine it. Do it. And then make way for others.
  • Simply, love and happiness.
  • To reach their full potential…
  • My dream… for all families have access to appropriate healthcare and that they don’t have to FIGHT THE SYSTEM every step of the way…
  • Becoming a doctor and letting children make their own decisions at the doctor’s office.
  • Walk tall, be proud. You are our future and dreams.
  • That all children get the special health care that they need.
  • My dream is for all children, youth and families to have quality healthcare to meet their needs.
  • Our voices to have music and to be heard loud and clear.
  • Susannah Park told me to tell the mothers and fathers not to fear their children’s bodies. They are only learning devices. The real life is Spirit.
  • A helping hand to obtain quality care for all.
  • One Love
  • Love, peace, happiness each and every day!
  • Family Friendship.
  • Everyone has a friend; everyone is missed when they are not here….
  • All children live, learn, work, play in their community!
  • All children are loved and have the supports and care they need to fulfill their dreams.
  • All children will have access to the healthcare they need. All families/caregivers will have access to all the information they need to make their decisions!
  • Una vida plena enigualdad que los demas siuda danos. (A life total equal)
  • All children and youth will have family-centered care in the environment in which they are most comfortable.
  • Eqabite liberacion equite sante amor et amitie (Liberation with love and freedom)
  • United we achieve.
  • All CSHCN are united, respected, and most of all, loved.
  • 1. Peace 2. Family-centered care for all children and youth with special healthcare needs.
  • I hope our kids will always feel they can think outside the box (or heart) to achieve their dreams.
  • We have come a long, long way.
