Photography Project on Parents of Chronically Ill Children
Last week, CNN published "An Intimate View of the 'Super Parents' of Chronically Ill Children," a story about a photography project sponsored by the California-based Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health. The photographs document the lives of ten families who have children with disabilities or chronic medical conditions, in an individual photo essay about each family. The very moving photographs were taken by Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Deanne Fitzmaurice. Four of the ten families featured have worked with Family Voices of California. Other families can also share their own stories and join the Foundation's Advocacy Network to help build the voices and collective power of the millions of parents who care for children with ongoing medical needs.
The Foundation is asking for help in spreading the word about this project. The #SuperParents hashtag can be used to share the links about the story and project on social media.
